NAPLES, Florida (January 4, 2005) – Chartered Financial Advisor and contributing author of Optimal Aging Manual: Your Guide From Experts in Medicine, Law and Finance, Mike Kilbourn, will donate his first royalty check to tsunami relief organizations in an effort to provide much-needed assistance to the affected areas. According to preliminary figures, initial author royalties are near $5,000.
“As I tell my clients, there’s nothing more rewarding in life than the ability to give,” says Kilbourn, who is also the author of Disinherit the IRS, the only book on the market that reveals the simple, legal ways to avoid so-called “death taxes.”
Kilbourn, who resides in Naples, wrote the chapter on insurance for the Optimal Aging Manual, a 1,200-page guide aimed at improving the knowledge of seniors and their families in order to enhance care and quality of life. Kilbourn is one of 56 contributors, all of which share proceeds from sales of the book, which retails for $59.95. Initial sales have been remarkable since it became available in November.
“The world is responding with great generosity,” said Kilbourn. “And with so many charitable tools with great tax advantages available to Americans, it would be dishonorable not to give something now when millions of people need it desperately.”
To promote the new book, Kilbourn has invited Kevin O’Neil, M.D., editor of the Optimal Aging Manual to be the guest speaker at the upcoming Healthy, Wealthy & Wise public seminars to be held at the Registry Resort on Thursday, January 27, and Tuesday, February 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Signed copies are available at www.kilbournassociates.com. Dr. O’Neil will have additional books for sale at the Healthy, Wealthy & Wise seminars. For more information or to reserve a seat at an upcoming seminar, call Joan at 239-261-1888.
